Ingredients

  • 4 ears sweet corn, husked and cleaned
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter, extra virgin olive oil, or vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Method

  1. Preheat your Air Fryer to 390 degrees F (or the closest setting on your model). If needed, trim the tips off the corn cobs or cut them in half with a sharp knife to ensure they fit comfortably in the Air Fryer basket.
  2. Place the cleaned corn cobs in a baking dish. Drizzle them generously with the melted butter or oil, then season evenly with salt and pepper. Toss the corn using tongs or shake the dish to coat all sides. Carefully transfer the seasoned corn cobs into the preheated Air Fryer basket.
  3. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until the kernels are tender and slightly charred. Make sure to shake the basket or use tongs to rotate the cobs halfway through the cooking time for even browning. Remember, the corn will continue to soften a bit after it's removed from the air fryer.
  4. Once cooked, transfer the air-fried corn cobs to a platter or individual plates. Serve them whole, or for an easier eating experience, slice the kernels off the cob and serve warm.

Notes

- Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary to ensure proper airflow and even crisping. This is crucial for truly delicious air fryer corn.
- For an extra layer of flavor, try brushing the cooked corn with a squeeze of lime juice and a sprinkle of chili powder.
- Storage: Leftover air fryer corn can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the air fryer for a few minutes to regain some crispness, or slice off the kernels for salads.
