Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (199°C).
- Add trimmed asparagus spears to a rectangular baking dish. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and Lawry
- Place the seasoned spears inside the air fryer basket in a single layer (cook in batches if necessary) and air fry for 3 minutes.
- Using tongs, stir the asparagus in the basket, then continue to air fry for 1-2 more minutes, until the spears are crisp-tender. Thinner stalks cook faster.
- Serve immediately, optionally with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
- Don't overcrowd the basket: For truly crispy air fryer asparagus, ensure spears are in a single layer. Cook in batches if your air fryer is small.
- Doneness check: I always pull mine out just as they start to brown slightly. The internal temperature of perfectly crisp-tender asparagus should be around 145°F (63°C) if you're using a probe, but a visual check for slight browning and fork-tenderness works perfectly.
- Storage and reheating: Leftover air fryer asparagus can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 2-3 minutes to regain some crispness. Nutrition information is an estimate, calculated automatically. Values vary with brands, substitutions and portion sizes.
