Grilled Herb Tofu

  • 🍶 400 g (14 oz) firm tofu
  • 🌿 2 green onions (scallions)
  • 🥄 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 🛢️ 4 tbsp neutral oil (like grapeseed oil)

📋 Directions:

  1. 🥄 Prepare the Tofu:
    Drain the tofu and slice it into 1 cm thick pieces. Press the slices between two cutting boards lined with paper towels and weighted down for about 20 minutes to remove excess water.
  2. 🔪 Cube the Tofu:
    Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes.
  3. 🥣 Coat the Tofu:
    Place the tofu cubes in a bowl and coat them evenly with cornstarch.
  4. 🍳 Fry the Tofu:
    Heat the grapeseed oil in a skillet over high heat. Add the tofu cubes and fry them until golden brown on all sides. Place the cooked tofu on paper towels to drain excess oil.
