Strawberry Basil Gelato

A refreshing and summery gelato blending the sweetness of strawberries with the aromatic touch of fresh basil.

Ingredients:

  • 🍓 10.5 oz (300 g) fresh strawberries
  • 🌿 10 fresh basil leaves
  • 🍬 1/2 cup (100 g) sugar
  • 🥛 1 1/4 cups (300 ml) whole milk
  • 🥛 3/4 cup (200 ml) heavy cream

Directions:

🍓 Blend the strawberries:

  1. Wash and hull the 🍓 strawberries, then blend them with 🍬 sugar until smooth.

🌿 Infuse the basil:

  1. Heat 🥛 milk in a saucepan with 🌿 basil leaves over low heat.
  2. Remove from heat and let it steep for 10 minutes, then strain to remove the basil leaves.

🍨 Combine and churn:

  1. Mix the strawberry purée, 🥛 infused milk, and 🥛 heavy cream in a bowl.
  2. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until creamy.
